The Scott County Library System is celebrating Oscar-winning and Oscar-nominated films with free movie showings at all its branches.
The library is showing past winners and nominees in February with new nominees in March. Select snacks and beverages will be available.

+ “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” 6 p.m. Feb. 25 in Prior Lake.
+ “The Lion King” 6 p.m. Feb. 25 in Belle Plaine.
+ “Mary Poppins” 5:30 p.m. Feb. 26 in Elko New Market.
+ “Wall-E” 10:30 a.m. Feb. 27 in Jordan.
+ “Julie and Julia” 6 p.m. March 2 in Savage or 6 p.m. March 3 in Prior Lake.
+ “Star Trek” 5:30 p.m. March 5 in Elko New Market.
+ “Up” 10:30 a.m. March 6 in Savage and Shakopee or 6 p.m. March 25 in Belle Plaine.
+ “The Princess and the Frog” 6 p.m. March 18 in Shakopee or 6 p.m. March 22 in New Prague.
+ “Coraline” 3 p.m. March 30 in Jordan.
In addition to the movies, the libraries will have book tie-ins for kids and parents to learn more.
