'Project Runway' shop talk

» Read similar stories filed under:

It's only five weeks into season seven of "Project Runway" and my favorite designer was sent home last week. Alas, at least I have 11 others to pick from before the finale.

Anna's vest-and-shorts look didn't impress the judges last week, and she is now back in Milwaukee. In the meantime, Anthony will have his winning dress on the cover of Marie Claire in April. It was an easy pick. His dress by far was the most cover worthy.

I've enjoyed this season so far, though I will admit I am not as enthralled as I was this fall when I watched religiously for Christopher's work. I loved the burlap challenge and am looking forward to Thursday's challenge which looks like the designers will have to make a kid-companion outfit for their models.

Speaking of Christopher, Straub was at the season seven finale last Friday in Bryant Park. The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week show featured 10 of the designers showing collections, since the producers didn't want to give away who are the final three. The show won't air for several weeks.

As for picking a new favorite, I'm pretty open to most of the designers, though I can tell you who I won't be cheering for. Mila's work is non impressive. She's color blocked in every challenge, and her jacket that won her first place was ugly. Plus, I don't like her attitude. That just ruins a designer for me.

Who are you pulling for? Who is your favorite and least favorite?

is my favorite so far. He's got that punk rock thing going pretty strong, but I'm wondering what else he can do.
