Clothing jackpot

You know those girls who stick up their nose at used clothes? They absolutely refuse to wear hand-me-downs and wouldn't be caught dead shopping in a consignment shop.

Well, I'm not one of them.

While I'll admit my thrift store experience is still pretty limited, I have recently been introduced to consignment stores and am pleased with some recent pick ups - a dress and two shirts for $25. Not too shabby.

However my ultimate jackpot came this weekend on a trip home to visit the 'rents. Sitting on the unused humidifier in the hallway was a 2-foot stack of clothes awaiting me.

I'm getting a roommate.

Well, I'm not exactly sure a sister counts, but my neat, cozy one-bedroom apartment will soon become a house for two (until we find a two-bedroom we can agree on), and all of a sudden, I'm slightly worried about my ability to adjust to another human being living in my space.

I've been on my own nearly four years and mostly I love it. I love having my own space to organize exactly as I want. To hang up my clothes when I want. To wash my dishes when I want (or until I run out of spoons). To watch television when I want. These things are changing.
