Blogger Kari Solyntjes believes in beauty can help women transcend actual age. That’s why the Savage resident started Fabulous Over Forty, a blog devoted to the topic.
Here are a few of her tips for your holiday look:
1. Add a little shimmer to highlight your cheeks. It will give you that holiday glow. Just make sure it's not glitter -- keep that for the teens.
2. Don't be afraid to wear makeup with color. There are a lot of beautiful holiday makeup palettes out now to put together a quick and easy polished holiday look. Just don't wear a lot of color everywhere (lips, cheeks and eyes) and be sure to blend!
3. Lashes are a big thing this year. Make your lashes full and thick with a great volumizing mascara. You can even have a little fun with some colored mascaras or ones that have a bit of shimmer in the color, it will make your eyes pop. Toss on a little gloss and you're ready to go to a party!
4. Keep hydrated with a good moisturizer and by drinking water. We tend to drink and eat more this time of year, which are both very dehydrating. By keeping your skin plump you look more youthful.
5. Sleep. We tend to get very stressed during the holidays with all the extra events that happen on top of regular busy work and family lives. Getting enough sleep will help your stress levels and keep you fresh for the holidays.
